Preface (volume II): Late Cenozoic multi-scale climate changes in Northwest China

摘要To unravel Central Asian paleoclimate history and its forcing mechanisms, we launched the special issue of "Climatic and environmental changes in Central Asia" in 2019. A total of 29 manuscripts have been accepted, and they are divided into two volumes. The first volume mainly focuses on climate and environmental reconstruction in the Westerlies-dominated core area of Central Asia. The second volume mainly illustrates the tectonic-orbital timescale climate evolution of northwest China and deformation history of the northeastern Tibetan Plateau.
